Jonas The Beginning
Nat Jones first started the company in 1948 from his own home in Philadelphia. Nat, research chemist, literally started the company in his garage hand filling algaecides and other chemicals and then selling them locally. The business started to thrive and he eventually had to move out of his house and move into a three-garage complex. And four years later he rented his first industrial building in Philadelphia.
Nat Jones died in 1995, but his two offspring, Stephan and Sheila, carry on his tradition. Today the company occupies three buildings with a total of over 150,000 square feet. In peak season we have over 120 employees. Our facilities are the most up-to-date with regard to production, warehousing, and shipping. All of the latest safety standards are in place.
Jonas Today
Jonas produces pool and spa chemicals and sells them only to the "Professional Pool Market." We have introduced many of the chemicals that have become standards in the industry such as polymer-base algaecides. non-alum flucculants, and borate technology.
We continue to innovate today with our head chemist, Al Pastore. We are also the industry leader in private-labeling and with many hundreds of satisfied customers. Our company philosophy has always been to maintain enough inventory so that we can ship virtually all orders at the time they are received.

Our sales force is highly trained pool and spa water chemistry and hold numerous technical seminars throughout the year. We also provide the latest in water testing programs and testing equipment
Our computer-controlled warehouse, our extensive inventory, and our fourteen shipping bays allows us to ship most orders the day they are received.
All orders are shrink-wrapped and palletized for maximum security and handling ease.
